Micheal and Angela / Houston Wedding Photography

Category: By Corey's Images
You might remember Mike and Angela from their engagement session a few months ago. Well they finally tied the not at the end of September. They were wed at a small wedding venue in Dickinson, Texas called Enchanted Gardens, and it was a beautiful ceremony. Corey and I had a blast photographing this wedding. Here is just a small sample of the images we captured.

Father Daughter Dance

By Corey's Images
OK so this post isn't my usual kind of post. While I was surfing the Internet this morning I came across this video and I couldn't help but share it with everyone. It's of a bride and her father during the Father Daughter Dance. This just goes to show how much he loves his little girl. It is so sweet. I hope you enjoy.

Adrienne & Michael / Houston Wedding Photography

Back on September 12th we were invited to photograph the wedding of Adrienne and Michael. Everyone was a little worried because poor Adrienne had been put through H-E-double hockey sticks over the venue. She rented a HUGE gorgeous house to have the wedding at and less than a month before the wedding the owner pulled out and told her she would have to use a much smaller house he owned. I know she was really upset over the change at first, but luckily everything turned out great. The house was a little smaller but it was decorated to be absolutely beautiful. The day went off without a hitch and it was great for everyone involved. Adrienne and Mike we enjoyed sharing your day with you and wish you many happy years to come. Here are just a few of my favorite shots from the wedding.

Alicia & Bobby / Houston Engagement Photography

By Corey's Images
A couple of weeks age we met up with Alicia and Bobby to shoot their engagement photographs. We didn't know quite what to expect as all of our correspondence until that time were over the phone and through e-mail. So we were excited to finally put some faces with the names. We met downtown at Sesquicentennial Park to shoot and then headed over to Bayou Place for some more images. It turned out to be a great day, even if it was extremely hot (what do you expect in Texas). Alicia and Bobby make a very good looking couple and it was hard to pick the few images to share but I decided on the ones below. We can't wait to photograph their wedding in October !!!

So a few week ago we were invited to photograph the Bat Mitzvah of 2 wonderful young ladies, Ayala & Priel. These 2 were everything you could ask for. So pretty and so much fun. It was hard to pick which photos I wanted to post but finally decided on the ones below. I hope you enjoy.
The lovely Priel

The charming Ayala

The theme of the party was candy. So they had the coolest candy buffet.

The DJs were amazing. Seriously these guys were great. They were so much fun. I really suggest you check into Maxed Out Entertainment for your parties.

They made sure that everyone had a great time.
Ayala and Priel it was a blast at your party !!

Angela & Michael Engagement / Houston Engagement Photographer

So a couple of weeks ago we caught up with Angela & Micheal to shoot their engagement photographs. We had met the couple before for the client consultation, but this time we really got to let loose and have some fun.

Angela's father actually works at the Museum of Science, so she spent many days at Herman Park as a child and decided that is where she wanted the photos taken. It was a great choice.

Here are just a few of my favorites.

They are so much in love and were making cute faces at each other all day.

When she started helping him up into the tree I almost fell over I was laughing so hard.

And then of course she had to help him down.
Mike and Angela y'all were a blast I can't wait to photograph your wedding next month.

The love of a sister

By Corey's Images
I am blogging a little differently today. This has absolutely nothing to do with photography in any way. I wanted instead to have a blog dedicated to my sister Dolly.

Dolly is in the hospital right now fighting sepsis. She has given us quite a scare over the past few days and I haven't been anywhere near a computer. She suffers from kidney and heart problems and then to top it off with this blood infection that she must now fight was just overwhelming.

The good news is we had a ray of light last night. The doctors have taken her of of the sedatives and have allowed her to wake up and have also taken her off of the respirator. So last night was the first time we got to talk in about 5 days. Thank goodness for miracles.

She still has a long road ahead of her but we can now look forward to a more positive outcome. Today I just wanted to blog and let everyone know how much I love my sister. I found the following poem on the Internet, and the picture is one of my favorites of when my siblings and I were all still little (Dolly is the oldest & I'm the baby).

SISTERS
God made us sisters,
Our hearts made us friends.
Love keeps us bonded
Thru thick and thru thin.
Being family
Gives permanent ties,
For which I am grateful
To be in your life.
Though our paths may lead
Down separate roads,
God gave us each other
To help with the load.
God had a great plan,
As He always does.
Growing together
Was the best for us.
I can't imagine
My life without you.
Sisters are for keeps
And forever true.

Houston Engagement Photography

By Corey's Images
So I have made myself a promise to try and post every day. I know that some days life will get in the way but I want to at least start blogging more often. Of course I'm not going to be able to post photos everyday since well we have to have time for editing and such. So I have decided that I can also post tips for all aspects of Wedding and Portrait photography.

With that said today's tip is on engagement photography. If you are planing on getting married soon then you are probably thinking about having photographs taken to honour your engagement. One of the most important things for you and your fiance to do is ACT NATURAL... Interact with each other. Act like you love each other. I know that this is different than most photographs you have had taken in the past. Its not the typical studio portrait where you sit and smile. You want to document your love for each other, so let it shine through. Act like you are out on a date with your loved one and try to forget the photographer. I know that is easier said than done but it usually gets easier after the first few minutes. If you can just have fun you will end up with photographs to cherish forever.

Destiny Danyelle - Houston Senior Portraits

By Corey's Images
So its not all Houston Wedding Photography with us. About a week or so ago we got to take my niece, Destiny Danyelle, downtown for some senior portraits. Destiny is a 2010 senior at Spring High School (man how time flies). She is such a sweetheart that this shoot was a blast. If you are viewing this post in facebook or myspace be sure to visit the blog on our website http://www.coreysimages.com so that you can view the photos. Hope you all enjoy them !!

Ms Brittany: Houston Wedding Photography / Houston Headshots

So I don't even know where to start on Brittany. She was so much fun to photograph and up for anything. She is an aspiring model who agreed to pose for some bridal shots. We started out at the firestation in Katy and when we finished there headed over to a shopping center near by. WOW the shots we got I can't even describe. I had a hard time deciding which ones to post and decided on quite a few. But since these by no way are my only favorites I am going to upload them all to "client galleries" on the website so you may view them all.
